Narrative:
We were told to taxi from spot 5 down taxiway V to hold short of taxiway B. Once there we called ground who told us to taxi across runway 27 at taxiway B and follow the airbus ahead. After crossing the stop line (now on runway) he told another jet to cross runway 27 and follow the airbus we had been told to follow. I stopped the jet to clarify our instructions at which time he asked if we were over the stop line and that an airplane on approach was going around. He told us to now taxi across runway 27. This controller was confused.

Title: A300 TAXIING FOR DEP AT MEM EXPERIENCED CONFUSION WITH ATC CLRNC AND ENTERED RWY.
Narrative: WE WERE TOLD TO TAXI FROM SPOT 5 DOWN TXWY V TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY B. ONCE THERE WE CALLED GND WHO TOLD US TO TAXI ACROSS RWY 27 AT TXWY B AND FOLLOW THE AIRBUS AHEAD. AFTER XING THE STOP LINE (NOW ON RWY) HE TOLD ANOTHER JET TO CROSS RWY 27 AND FOLLOW THE AIRBUS WE HAD BEEN TOLD TO FOLLOW. I STOPPED THE JET TO CLARIFY OUR INSTRUCTIONS AT WHICH TIME HE ASKED IF WE WERE OVER THE STOP LINE AND THAT AN AIRPLANE ON APCH WAS GOING AROUND. HE TOLD US TO NOW TAXI ACROSS RWY 27. THIS CTLR WAS CONFUSED.
