Narrative:
Plane was delayed into mco due to WX, rain, departed 25 mins late. As we were climbing, there was some turbulence and rain. When the pilots were reaching our cruise altitude, they pwred back. At about FL310, we experienced a vibration throughout the aircraft, then 3 significant 'booms' -- compression stalls. The pilots adjusted the throttles, the vibrations varied. When I called the cockpit to see what had happened, it took a while for them to answer! From what the pilots observed, the right engine intake heater was inoperative, with all the rain, we had ice built up on the intake of the engine. When they pwred back, there wasn't a clear airflow -- causing compression stalls. I asked the other flight attendant to check out the right engine, and there was significant scoring/blackening. We were diverted to mia, made an emergency landing without incident -- with fire trucks and emergency equipment lining the runway. Taxied to gate.

Title: B757 EXPERIENCES SEVERAL COMPRESSOR STALLS AFTER ENG INTAKE ICE BUILD UP CONSTRICTED THE AIRFLOW WITH FLT DIVERTING INTO MIA, FL.
Narrative: PLANE WAS DELAYED INTO MCO DUE TO WX, RAIN, DEPARTED 25 MINS LATE. AS WE WERE CLBING, THERE WAS SOME TURB AND RAIN. WHEN THE PLTS WERE REACHING OUR CRUISE ALT, THEY PWRED BACK. AT ABOUT FL310, WE EXPERIENCED A VIBRATION THROUGHOUT THE ACFT, THEN 3 SIGNIFICANT 'BOOMS' -- COMPRESSION STALLS. THE PLTS ADJUSTED THE THROTTLES, THE VIBRATIONS VARIED.
