Mountain 5 departure sentac. Runway 34R misread turn point east as 5 mi instead of 8 mi. Turned early. Advised by departure re-read departure, saw error. (Departing south on mountain 5 eastbound turn is 5 mi. Controller did not seem too concerned other than early turn. Suggest much larger print on commercial chart page.
