Narrative:
On rotation from runway 1 at dca, my seat slid almost all the way aft. The controls were promptly xferred to the captain. The seat was extremely difficult to relatch in place. I think that the seat latch mechanism was broken. After the seat was secured, the captain continued as the PF. I made sure the seat was secured in place using the procedures outlined at the company web site. The seat was checked to make sure that it was secure prior to takeoff.
