Narrative:

On taxi out from the commuter ramp at pittsburg, PA (kpit), the area across from gate E13 and E14 are unlevel (troughs and ridges). This causes oscillation of the aircraft (extending and compression of the nose strut which may lead to aircraft damage). This may be perceived as aircraft speed. Solutions: repaving of the affected area. Proper servicing of the nose struts (maintenance item). Supplemental information from acn 587988: apparently an FAA inspector was working on E13-E14, glanced over, and instantly perceived this 'bobbing action' as excessive speed. Some of the older planes seem to do it worse than others. Today's taxi was no different than any other day.

Title: B190 ENCOUNTERS UNLEVEL RAMP AREA/TXWY AT KPIT.

Narrative: ON TAXI OUT FROM THE COMMUTER RAMP AT PITTSBURG, PA (KPIT), THE AREA ACROSS FROM GATE E13 AND E14 ARE UNLEVEL (TROUGHS AND RIDGES). THIS CAUSES OSCILLATION OF THE ACFT (EXTENDING AND COMPRESSION OF THE NOSE STRUT WHICH MAY LEAD TO ACFT DAMAGE). THIS MAY BE PERCEIVED AS ACFT SPEED. SOLUTIONS: REPAVING OF THE AFFECTED AREA. PROPER SERVICING OF THE NOSE STRUTS (MAINT ITEM). SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 587988: APPARENTLY AN FAA INSPECTOR WAS WORKING ON E13-E14, GLANCED OVER, AND INSTANTLY PERCEIVED THIS 'BOBBING ACTION' AS EXCESSIVE SPEED. SOME OF THE OLDER PLANES SEEM TO DO IT WORSE THAN OTHERS. TODAY'S TAXI WAS NO DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER DAY.
