Narrative:
On takeoff from sna, at 854 ft MSL, VNAV was selected. The airspeed bug slewed to 157 KIAS as it should. However, the autothrottles came back to 1.02% EPR (not enough power for climb, on a noise abatement SID). Immediately I manually pushed power levers forward and engaged flight crewh and reselected VNAV. It then operated normally. A company as soon as possible report was filed in the event a noise violation was an issue. I don't think it was.
