Narrative:
We were given position and hold runway 18R. We read back clearance, we checked final, did not see any aircraft -- although visibility was low due to low scattered clouds and haze. I heard a quick hold short after we were on the runway at a 45 degree angle with the centerline. We then saw a DC10 on final, 1 - 1 1/2 mi. We questioned tower about this. He said to stay on the runway, the aircraft was going around. We were then cleared for takeoff with no further comment from tower.
