Narrative:

After takeoff from runway 6L at anchorage, we were directed to turn right to 080 degrees during climb out. Altitude was 6000 ft MSL. The captain placed 080 degrees in the flight control panel. I cleared our path of flight, then looked inside at the instruments. The controller called again to confirm a right turn. I noted we were in a left turn. The captain immediately reversed turn to 080 degrees. The rest of the climb out was uneventful.
