Narrative:

En route to trann on the ILS runway 27, we were cleared for the ILS runway 27 approach. Passing trann and en route to dento (on GS) we were instructed to make mandatory altitude at dento. We were on GS and cleared for approach and 99% sure we made all mandatory altitudes on final. However, it is very, very unusual to see mandatory altitude's on final of an ILS approach. Therefore, I recommend that approach controllers warn pilots of these limitations when essential to flight safety.

Title: WDB CREW DID NOT OBSERVE THE MANDATORY XING RESTRS LISTED ON THE ILS RWY 27 APCH AT IAH. THE CREW DSNDED ON THE GS INSTEAD.

Narrative: ENRTE TO TRANN ON THE ILS RWY 27, WE WERE CLRED FOR THE ILS RWY 27 APCH. PASSING TRANN AND ENRTE TO DENTO (ON GS) WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO MAKE MANDATORY ALT AT DENTO. WE WERE ON GS AND CLRED FOR APCH AND 99% SURE WE MADE ALL MANDATORY ALTS ON FINAL. HOWEVER, IT IS VERY, VERY UNUSUAL TO SEE MANDATORY ALT'S ON FINAL OF AN ILS APCH. THEREFORE, I RECOMMEND THAT APCH CTLRS WARN PLTS OF THESE LIMITATIONS WHEN ESSENTIAL TO FLT SAFETY.
