Narrative:
During review of our operations specifications it was discovered that the wrong hour interval is listed for the engine mpi. In the process of notifying our FAA maintenance principal to change the interval from 1500 hours to 2200 hours. To prevent a recurrence, pay better attention to detail when signing operations specifications and review them more often. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the wrong time interval was discovered shortly before the time ran out on the engine hot section inspection and the FAA maintenance principal was advised.
