Narrative:
Air carrier X going direct jst which was about 130+ mi from where he was going direct. Air carrier X drifted south about 8 mi where separation was lost with air carrier Y who was descending through air carrier X .it was more of an oversight on my part assuming air carrier X would fly a straight line than drift off course.
