Narrative:
Logbook write-up for PA/interphone station missing from aft right flight attendant jumpseat area. Inspected area and removed cushions from aft right jumpseat area looking for connectors and wires -- none found. No routing holes found either. Mounting receptacles present but area had been recovered in heavy maintenance, therefore, area showed no signs of PA/interphone box removal. Technical center was consulted and we were told that aircraft did not get PA/interphone set-up on both sides. We inspected again and concurred with technical center. Problem finally came to light later and aircraft was stopped and fixed. This should have been found when it came out of check. We should also have better access to look these kinds of things up in computer.
