Narrative:
Due to a WX divert we arrived in dfw with 7 hours 50 mins aloft. After consulting the company manual, I called crew tracking. She said we were legal for flight because our schedule had not changed. We were told to go ahead and fly even though it put our flight time projection over 8 hour aloft for the day.
