Narrative:

Flew fatigued. At XA20 on sep/sat/03, I was called for a domestic sequence having a sign-in at XK45. I am on reserve (B767 first officer) international. I had, an hour earlier, been assigned an XK00 ready aircrew program . I informed the supervisor that I would have an XH45 wake-up to ensure that I made it and that I had been informed too late to get adequate rest. I stated that there was a 3 day lfpg (also on sep/fri/03 in a 3 day block) and I was also the only reserve pilot in that block, so I would rather do that trip so I could plan my rest. He stated that he could not change the trip assignments. I flew the flight dangerously fatigued. I am not comfortable using the company fatigue policy due to my fear of repercussions. When early domestic ready aircrew programs are assigned to international pilots, it should happen in the morning hours. Also in reference to early international sequences, the lack of international ready aircrew program leads to my frequently flying those sequences fatigued as well. Current FAA rest requirements are archaic and dangerously inadequate.

Title: AN INTL RESERVE PLT IS ASSIGNED A DOMESTIC FLT THAT DEPARTED TOO SOON TO ALLOW ADEQUATE REST.

Narrative: FLEW FATIGUED. AT XA20 ON SEP/SAT/03, I WAS CALLED FOR A DOMESTIC SEQUENCE HAVING A SIGN-IN AT XK45. I AM ON RESERVE (B767 FO) INTL. I HAD, AN HR EARLIER, BEEN ASSIGNED AN XK00 READY AIRCREW PROGRAM . I INFORMED THE SUPVR THAT I WOULD HAVE AN XH45 WAKE-UP TO ENSURE THAT I MADE IT AND THAT I HAD BEEN INFORMED TOO LATE TO GET ADEQUATE REST. I STATED THAT THERE WAS A 3 DAY LFPG (ALSO ON SEP/FRI/03 IN A 3 DAY BLOCK) AND I WAS ALSO THE ONLY RESERVE PLT IN THAT BLOCK, SO I WOULD RATHER DO THAT TRIP SO I COULD PLAN MY REST. HE STATED THAT HE COULD NOT CHANGE THE TRIP ASSIGNMENTS. I FLEW THE FLT DANGEROUSLY FATIGUED. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE USING THE COMPANY FATIGUE POLICY DUE TO MY FEAR OF REPERCUSSIONS. WHEN EARLY DOMESTIC READY AIRCREW PROGRAMS ARE ASSIGNED TO INTL PLTS, IT SHOULD HAPPEN IN THE MORNING HRS. ALSO IN REF TO EARLY INTL SEQUENCES, THE LACK OF INTL READY AIRCREW PROGRAM LEADS TO MY FREQUENTLY FLYING THOSE SEQUENCES FATIGUED AS WELL. CURRENT FAA REST REQUIREMENTS ARE ARCHAIC AND DANGEROUSLY INADEQUATE.
