Narrative:
2 mi from FAF established at 2200 ft on ILS runway 22R traffic called at 2000 ft at 10 or 11 O'clock position. Crew picked up visually with immediate concern for midair potential. Responded to RA aircraft cleared below us at 500 ft. We were unable to descend to runway from that altitude. I contacted ord TRACON and they said aircraft was in class B airspace at 1900 ft. This was a serious situation (direct conflict at the FAF) and should be reviewed by all safety aspects.
