Narrative:
Have just finished human resources class that points to the problem with the location of the autoplt southwest on the B777 glare shield where the B767 autothrottle arm switch is located. 3 similar instances of aborts at over vr indicates a fatal runway overrun just waiting to happen on a balanced field. Suggest simple clear switch cover over autoplt switch before we kill people and run this company into bankruptcy. Suggest no autothrottles on takeoff until something is done. 3 similar incidents means present program is not working. Please reply as soon as possible. Hope boeing makes change for all operators. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter is not qualified on the B777, but picked up his information through a short film at a training class. Company responded to his concerns and voiced their opinion that procedures presently used are adequate.
