During taxi out, a xbleed start was initiated by the first officer due to an APU

Title: MD-88 FO WAS DOING A XBLEED START. HE HAD A NO START. HE SWITCHED IGNITERS WITHOUT CLRING THE ACCUMULATED FUEL FROM THE ENG. AFTER IGNITION OCCURRED, HE DID NOT CLOSE THE START LEVER, AND DID NOT KEEP THE STARTER ENGAGED. THIS RESULTED IN A TAILPIPE FIRE AND AN ENG OVER TEMP.
