Narrative:

I was flying a helicopter. I got low fuel light flickering, then came on steady. My gauge showed 15 gallons left. So, I brought aircraft down to about 20 ft off ohio river, then I hovered over to grassy flat spot at a restaurant on the river. 3 people came up to me and cussed me for landing so close, so I checked my fuel visually and saw I had enough and took aircraft back to base. My mechanic found grounded low fuel and fixed it. I have a copy of mechanic's findings and a bill. To sum this all up, I did an emergency landing and made a few people mad. I do know the owner of the restaurant, and I have their permission to land. The fuel light was faulty and has been repaired.
