Narrative:

From ict to dfw, on the bonham arrival between birle and gaatz intersection, ATC failed to hand us off somewhere. We were monitoring the radio and heard constant chatter and had no reason to believe we should have been handed off. Between these intxns we were told to squawk identify and handed off to regional approach. Approach gave us an immediate hard 180 degree turn and proceeded to verbally reprimand us, as if it were our fault. They said they had tried to contact us on several frequencies including ACARS. The aircraft is not ACARS equipped, and we responded on the first attempt by center to call us on the frequency we were monitoring. We were monitoring company frequency throughout the flight, but we may have been on the ict local frequency for some of this particular time period, or possibly switched to dfw ATIS. Regardless, we were monitoring a company frequency except for the short time to pick up ATIS. We were re-sequenced into normal dfw flow without incident, and the controllers were very professional after the problem was rectified. They gave no indication further action would be taken as to FAA enforcement procedures. In short, we were not handed off somewhere, which resulted in confusion for ATC and a delayed flight arrival.

Title: A CRJ CAPT RPTED THAT D10 APPARENTLY LOST COM WITH THEM DURING APCH TO DFW.

Narrative: FROM ICT TO DFW, ON THE BONHAM ARR BTWN BIRLE AND GAATZ INTXN, ATC FAILED TO HAND US OFF SOMEWHERE. WE WERE MONITORING THE RADIO AND HEARD CONSTANT CHATTER AND HAD NO REASON TO BELIEVE WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HANDED OFF. BTWN THESE INTXNS WE WERE TOLD TO SQUAWK IDENT AND HANDED OFF TO REGIONAL APCH. APCH GAVE US AN IMMEDIATE HARD 180 DEG TURN AND PROCEEDED TO VERBALLY REPRIMAND US, AS IF IT WERE OUR FAULT. THEY SAID THEY HAD TRIED TO CONTACT US ON SEVERAL FREQUENCIES INCLUDING ACARS. THE ACFT IS NOT ACARS EQUIPPED, AND WE RESPONDED ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT BY CTR TO CALL US ON THE FREQ WE WERE MONITORING. WE WERE MONITORING COMPANY FREQ THROUGHOUT THE FLT, BUT WE MAY HAVE BEEN ON THE ICT LCL FREQ FOR SOME OF THIS PARTICULAR TIME PERIOD, OR POSSIBLY SWITCHED TO DFW ATIS. REGARDLESS, WE WERE MONITORING A COMPANY FREQ EXCEPT FOR THE SHORT TIME TO PICK UP ATIS. WE WERE RE-SEQUENCED INTO NORMAL DFW FLOW WITHOUT INCIDENT, AND THE CTLRS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AFTER THE PROB WAS RECTIFIED. THEY GAVE NO INDICATION FURTHER ACTION WOULD BE TAKEN AS TO FAA ENFORCEMENT PROCS. IN SHORT, WE WERE NOT HANDED OFF SOMEWHERE, WHICH RESULTED IN CONFUSION FOR ATC AND A DELAYED FLT ARR.
