Narrative:
Landed on runway 4R at ord. Slowed to taxi speed to exit runway. Getting ready to take next to last hi-speed exit, we were told to go to end. Had to add power to increase taxi speed, decided to take last hi-speed 'Q' so as to get off the active runway as tower had just scolded the last aircraft off the runway. Tower then yelled at us for taking Q. He never gave us a specific exit, just go to the end. I then proceeded to taxi to taxiway D as per his instructions and contacted ground. Ground said no big deal. Taxied to gate.

Title: AN F100 FLT CREW IS TAKEN TO TASK BY THE TWR WHEN THEY FAILED TO EXIT RWY 4R AT TXWY DELTA VERSUS QUEBEC AFTER TWR REVISED THE EXIT CLRNC AT ORD, IL.
Narrative: LANDED ON RWY 4R AT ORD. SLOWED TO TAXI SPD TO EXIT RWY. GETTING READY TO TAKE NEXT TO LAST HI-SPD EXIT, WE WERE TOLD TO GO TO END. HAD TO ADD PWR TO INCREASE TAXI SPD, DECIDED TO TAKE LAST HI-SPD 'Q' SO AS TO GET OFF THE ACTIVE RWY AS TWR HAD JUST SCOLDED THE LAST ACFT OFF THE RWY. TWR THEN YELLED AT US FOR TAKING Q. HE NEVER GAVE US A SPECIFIC EXIT, JUST GO TO THE END. I THEN PROCEEDED TO TAXI TO TXWY D AS PER HIS INSTRUCTIONS AND CONTACTED GND. GND SAID NO BIG DEAL. TAXIED TO GATE.
