Narrative:
On final approach to runway 17C, with the captain flying the aircraft, I obtained ground contact for the first time at approximately 400-500 ft. The approach had been -- uneventful until we broke out -- I could see that we were lined up between runway 17C and runway 17R. At that moment the tower told us to go around. After we leveled off and were downwind the captain said that his flight director was giving him steady guidance until right before the go around command, when he noticed the CDI offset to the left. The command bars then retracted and did not come down until the autoplt was switched to #2. Before going outside to pick up the runway, I did not notice anything wrong with the instruments on my side. I flew the remaining approach and landing without any problems noted. On the ground we asked the #1 flight attendant if she had observed anyone operating any electronic devices. She did not see anyone.

Title: LEAVING 700 FT ON AN ILS TO DFW RWY 17C, IT IS APPARENT THAT THE ACFT IS NOT LINED UP WITH THE RWY AND A GAR IS MADE. UNSUBSTANTIATED INTERFERENCE WITH ACFT INSTS BY AN UNAUTH ONBOARD PAX ELECTRONIC DEVICE IS SUSPECTED.
Narrative: ON FINAL APCH TO RWY 17C, WITH THE CAPT FLYING THE ACFT, I OBTAINED GND CONTACT FOR THE FIRST TIME AT APPROX 400-500 FT. THE APCH HAD BEEN -- UNEVENTFUL UNTIL WE BROKE OUT -- I COULD SEE THAT WE WERE LINED UP BTWN RWY 17C AND RWY 17R. AT THAT MOMENT THE TWR TOLD US TO GO AROUND. AFTER WE LEVELED OFF AND WERE DOWNWIND THE CAPT SAID THAT HIS FLT DIRECTOR WAS GIVING HIM STEADY GUIDANCE UNTIL RIGHT BEFORE THE GAR COMMAND, WHEN HE NOTICED THE CDI OFFSET TO THE L. THE COMMAND BARS THEN RETRACTED AND DID NOT COME DOWN UNTIL THE AUTOPLT WAS SWITCHED TO #2. BEFORE GOING OUTSIDE TO PICK UP THE RWY, I DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE INSTS ON MY SIDE. I FLEW THE REMAINING APCH AND LNDG WITHOUT ANY PROBS NOTED. ON THE GND WE ASKED THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT IF SHE HAD OBSERVED ANYONE OPERATING ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICES. SHE DID NOT SEE ANYONE.
