Narrative:
On my return leg of a cross country trip from mer to ccr abeam mod, panel started to smoke and I saw flames from under the instrument cluster. I shut off the master switch and opened the windows. After the fire went out, and the smoke cleared, I evaluated the situation and continued without electrical power to concord. I contacted tower using a cell phone and landed with light signals.
