Narrative:
Cleared for korry arrival and crossing eno below FL240, ATC informed us that FL240 was a restr at eno that was not on the arrival, but on a NOTAM. Lesson learned: read NOTAMS more carefully. Question to ponder: why is NOTAM dated jun/03 not incorporated into the arrival dated sep/thu/03. It is an insidious trap. Supplemental information from acn 598395: cleared to descend via STAR at FL200, center informed us we were supposed to cross eno at or above FL240 per NOTAMS. We were at FL200 and still descending. Lesson: review flight plan NOTAMS more closely. Trap: STAR chart effective date sep/thu/03, NOTAM date jun/xa. Why hasn't STAR chart been revised as numerous revisions have been issued since NOTAM date?

Title: MD80 CREW LNDG LGA ON THE KORRY ARR FAILED TO CROSS THE ENO (SMYRNA) FOR AT FL240.
Narrative: CLRED FOR KORRY ARR AND XING ENO BELOW FL240, ATC INFORMED US THAT FL240 WAS A RESTR AT ENO THAT WAS NOT ON THE ARR, BUT ON A NOTAM. LESSON LEARNED: READ NOTAMS MORE CAREFULLY. QUESTION TO PONDER: WHY IS NOTAM DATED JUN/03 NOT INCORPORATED INTO THE ARR DATED SEP/THU/03. IT IS AN INSIDIOUS TRAP. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 598395: CLRED TO DSND VIA STAR AT FL200, CTR INFORMED US WE WERE SUPPOSED TO CROSS ENO AT OR ABOVE FL240 PER NOTAMS. WE WERE AT FL200 AND STILL DSNDING. LESSON: REVIEW FLT PLAN NOTAMS MORE CLOSELY. TRAP: STAR CHART EFFECTIVE DATE SEP/THU/03, NOTAM DATE JUN/XA. WHY HASN'T STAR CHART BEEN REVISED AS NUMEROUS REVISIONS HAVE BEEN ISSUED SINCE NOTAM DATE?
