Narrative:
On base leg for ILS runway 8R at cdg airport (paris, france) we were cleared to descend to 4000 ft (transition level). As we were cleared for the ILS approach, as the altimeter setting was made, the FMS did not honor the 4000 ft altitude selected and we descended to approximately 3600 ft. The captain took control of the aircraft, disengaged the autoplt and regained the lost altitude. No other aircraft were involved and the correction was immediate.
