Narrative:
The on duty lead instructed me to assist another mechanic to work aircraft. It was at the gate with #2 DME problem. I pulled an interrogator from stock at the location designated by XXX25. Due to the fact that 4 different interrogators are stocked in the same vicinity, I inadvertently pulled one that was incorrect. It was stocked beside the correct unit. The part number of both units are very close as is the stock location.
