Narrative:

I was notified that ATC had indicated a possible pilot deviation. We were delayed departing lax for flow control into ord. We blocked out of lax 1 hour 5 mins late. I was advised that at approximately 14 NM northwest of ord, we slowed too rapidly causing a loss of separation between us and another air carrier flight. I do not remember anything out of the normal for this approach and landing. From what I remember, this was an autoland approach to runway 14R. There was some WX, but it was not too bad. The autoland approach was for currency of the aircraft. We did ask approach control about protecting the approach. He told us to ask tower. When we contacted tower, he said that he couldn't guarantee protection, but would keep us advised. From TCASII, there appeared to be normal spacing between us and the aircraft in front of us. The controllers seemed to be very busy, but then they usually are. Everything about this approach and landing was normal. We followed all clrncs and I do not remember anything other than normal instructions and comments by all of the controllers.
