Narrative:
While parking at the gate, we received a rapid succession of 3 SELCAL chimes from dispatch. We completed the parking, shutdown, and checklist procedures, then checked the ACARS for messages. There were 3 messages from dispatch requesting that we call. We called dispatch and he informed us that 'dangerous goods' had been boarded at sfo and he wanted to know if we knew anything about it. At sfo, we received no notification, written or verbal, that any hazardous material had been boarded on our aircraft. We did not receive a dangerous goods form nor did operations or zone control notify us of the cargo when we checked in with them prior to departure. We were airborne for over 3 hours and no contact was made with us with regards to the shipment.
