Narrative:
Approach and local controllers at clt have begun issuing wake turbulence warnings much more often than in the past. The dornier 328 has a maximum takeoff weight of 30843 pounds. We are issued a warning for everything but a beech 1900. Dash 8's and rj's will get us warnings at clt, but at no other airports. When you hear 'caution wake turbulence' every time you fly into clt, I have found that you begin to tune it out and ignore the warnings. Since most aircraft flying into clt are larger than a DO328, we hear it every flight. Warnings should be issued in accordance with procedures in the aim. Hearing it every flight has caused me to begin ignoring them. I am afraid that, when I really need to heed the warning, I will be so used to ignoring it, that it will make for a very dangerous situation.

Title: D328 FO CLAIMS THAT BECAUSE OF CLT APCH'S FREQUENT 'CAUTION WAKE TURB' ALERT PHRASEOLOGY, HE IS 'TUNING IT OUT.'

SINCE MOST ACFT FLYING INTO CLT ARE LARGER THAN A DO328, WE HEAR IT EVERY FLT. WARNINGS SHOULD BE ISSUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROCS IN THE AIM. HEARING IT EVERY FLT HAS CAUSED ME TO BEGIN IGNORING THEM. I AM AFRAID THAT, WHEN I REALLY NEED TO HEED THE WARNING, I WILL BE SO USED TO IGNORING IT, THAT IT WILL MAKE FOR A VERY DANGEROUS SIT.
