Narrative:
On jan/thu/04, I was working approach control in the atlanta TRACON. I was on the north final radar position. I was told there was an aircraft diverting to atlanta with a medical emergency (apparently someone had a heart attack and had no pulse). While expediting the emergency aircraft to runway 26L I was using visual separation by the pilot from an aircraft on runway 27L and an aircraft on runway 26R. I'm not completely sure if the emergency aircraft read back visual separation on the B767 on runway 26R. The emergency aircraft landed safely on runway 26L approximately 3 mi behind the B767 on runway 26R.

Title: A80 APCH CTLR IS CONCERNED REGARDING VISUAL SEPARATION PROCS WITH MEDICAL EMER ACFT DIVERTING TO ATL.
Narrative: ON JAN/THU/04, I WAS WORKING APCH CTL IN THE ATLANTA TRACON. I WAS ON THE N FINAL RADAR POS. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS AN ACFT DIVERTING TO ATLANTA WITH A MEDICAL EMER (APPARENTLY SOMEONE HAD A HEART ATTACK AND HAD NO PULSE). WHILE EXPEDITING THE EMER ACFT TO RWY 26L I WAS USING VISUAL SEPARATION BY THE PLT FROM AN ACFT ON RWY 27L AND AN ACFT ON RWY 26R. I'M NOT COMPLETELY SURE IF THE EMER ACFT READ BACK VISUAL SEPARATION ON THE B767 ON RWY 26R. THE EMER ACFT LANDED SAFELY ON RWY 26L APPROX 3 MI BEHIND THE B767 ON RWY 26R.
