Narrative:
Following a VOR/DME-a approach at window rock airport, a wind gust before touchdown caused a stall buffet and resulted in a very hard landing which compressed the left main gear oleo and allowed the propeller to strike the ground. The aircraft was able to be taxied clear on 1 engine. There were no injuries to passenger or crew. Contributing factors: 1) wind gust conditions. 2) possible ice accumulation on aircraft tail (boots were used during the approach). 3) unstabilized final from circling maneuver.
