Narrative:
Our parallel runways were recently renumbered to eliminate confusion over a parallel taxiway. The learjet was on a right downwind to runway 17 and E145 on a wide left base to runway 18. The learjet lined up on runway 18 in front of the E145. Separation was not lost, but could have been much worse if I had not allowed a little extra room with the E145.
