Narrative:
Returning to lax with the left engine at idle due to a malfunction and the other at normal power. We were cleared to descend to 10000 ft and told to join the sadde 6 arrival at vtu. After a traffic call at 2 O'clock position, we descended past 10000 ft and bottomed out at 9740 ft MSL before climbing back to 10000 ft. We did receive an RA at the same time calling for reduce descent. The traffic crossing right to left was in sight the entire time since the advisory call from approach. Return to lax was uneventful.
