Narrative:

Approximately 2 hours into the flight, the captain called me into the cockpit and told me the left engine was losing oil at a rapid rate. We were about 20 mins out from ZZZ and the captain said we would land there to have the problem checked out. He did not see any problems with our getting to ZZZ and stated he was not declaring an emergency. He made a PA to the passenger explaining the situation, we prepared the cabin for landing and we landed uneventfully. The mechanics in ZZZ found a cap that had come off the oil reservoir in the engine, so the problem was rapidly resolved. After paperwork and refueling, we were on our way to dca in about 1 hour.
