Narrative:
We arrived 10 mins late on air carrier X on jan/sat/04. We therefore had a very short layover (9 hours at the hotel, scheduled to leave at XB40 local time). At XA25, the hotel clerk called me with a wake-up call. I told him I had not requested one. He said it was air carrier policy -- per their contract with the hotel -- to give a 1 hour wake-up call prior to van departure (our original van time was XB25). This was 7 hours 45 mins into our crew rest and 6 hours 30 mins after I actually went to sleep. This company policy prevented us from obtaining 8 hours of uninterrupted rest. I called the flight manager to inform him of this, but told him I was alright to fly. However, after the flight, I question that. I was fatigued for much of it.
