Narrative:
After takeoff on runway 11L in fat at around 600 ft AGL, tower asked us if we had the rj in sight off the left side. That was the first we heard of the aircraft. After searching for the rj, I spotted him at our 11 O'clock position moving to 12 O'clock position and on a collision course. We then received a TCASII RA 'monitor vertical speed' with a notation to climb. We began a r-hand turn to avoid the traffic as the rj began a r-hand turn as well. We queried ATC as to what happened and he notified us that the rj had lined up for landing on the wrong runway (runway 29R) -- the opposite direction runway. Supplemental information from acn 607213: upon departure out of fat, we had opposing traffic on base to final on runway 29R while we were climbing out of 1000 ft from runway 11L.

Title: NMAC BTWN A DEP SF340 AND AN ARR RJ, OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC, USING RWY 11L AND RWY 29R AT FAT, CA.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF ON RWY 11L IN FAT AT AROUND 600 FT AGL, TWR ASKED US IF WE HAD THE RJ IN SIGHT OFF THE L SIDE. THAT WAS THE FIRST WE HEARD OF THE ACFT. AFTER SEARCHING FOR THE RJ, I SPOTTED HIM AT OUR 11 O'CLOCK POS MOVING TO 12 O'CLOCK POS AND ON A COLLISION COURSE. WE THEN RECEIVED A TCASII RA 'MONITOR VERT SPD' WITH A NOTATION TO CLB. WE BEGAN A R-HAND TURN TO AVOID THE TFC AS THE RJ BEGAN A R-HAND TURN AS WELL. WE QUERIED ATC AS TO WHAT HAPPENED AND HE NOTIFIED US THAT THE RJ HAD LINED UP FOR LNDG ON THE WRONG RWY (RWY 29R) -- THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION RWY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 607213: UPON DEP OUT OF FAT, WE HAD OPPOSING TFC ON BASE TO FINAL ON RWY 29R WHILE WE WERE CLBING OUT OF 1000 FT FROM RWY 11L.
