Narrative:
Crew called in wing anti-ice valve fault. Received dispatch approval to lock valve in 'open' position. Faxed maintenance manual for locking wing anti-ice valve in open position to mechanic. Sent wrong MEL to crew and entered wrong mrd for MEL. Crew was sent proper MEL card in-flight and mrd revised on arrival ord. (Crew discovered MEL wrong in-flight.)
