Narrative:
At FL330 an unscheduled depressurization occurred. I commenced immediate descent to a lower habitable altitude. This descent was initiated before we received ATC clearance. I do not recall whether or not we properly declared an emergency at that time to explain the deviation. I recall that we briefly described our predicament, but I strongly believe that we did not declare an emergency. We ultimately recovered to an initial altitude of 8000 ft and ultimately diverted into dtw uneventfully.

Title: FLT CREW OF F100 EXPERIENCES DECOMPRESSION AT FL330. MAKE EMER DSCNT BUT FAIL TO DECLARE EMER WITH ATC.
Narrative: AT FL330 AN UNSCHEDULED DEPRESSURIZATION OCCURRED. I COMMENCED IMMEDIATE DSCNT TO A LOWER HABITABLE ALT. THIS DSCNT WAS INITIATED BEFORE WE RECEIVED ATC CLRNC. I DO NOT RECALL WHETHER OR NOT WE PROPERLY DECLARED AN EMER AT THAT TIME TO EXPLAIN THE DEV. I RECALL THAT WE BRIEFLY DESCRIBED OUR PREDICAMENT, BUT I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT WE DID NOT DECLARE AN EMER. WE ULTIMATELY RECOVERED TO AN INITIAL ALT OF 8000 FT AND ULTIMATELY DIVERTED INTO DTW UNEVENTFULLY.
