Narrative:
The cockpit called and asked if there was smoke or smell of fire, burning wires in galley or cabin area. We replied no. Pilot came out of cockpit to verify request. He then told us of what happened in cockpit. There was smoke and smell of burning wires in the cockpit. We also suspected something when the galley power was turned off along with the entertainment system and power ports. After conferring with the #1, captain made PA and the #8 made PA in spanish. Trip proceeded without further incident and the captain opted to keep the electrical system he turned off -- off until arrival.
