Narrative:
Delivered PA28 to portsmouth, va. While I was in the 30 NM DME arc of washington, dc, I lost electrical power. So I turned all radios and transponder off to save the battery. I exited at the south end of the arc. I flew south to lake anna (7w4), then to ric at 5500 ft, then to pvg, with no navaids.

Title: AN EXTREMELY EXPERIENCED PA28 FERRY PLT EXPERIENCED AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE WHICH CAUSED HIM TO SHUT OFF THE RADIO AND XPONDER WHILE WITH PCT IN THE DC ADIZ.
