Narrative:
After full preflight and run-up at 70% power, taxied to runway 29R for departure. Upon line up on runway 29R ran power to 70%, brakes on, normal roll and rotation. After rotation and stabilization, retracted gear and trimmed plane. 3-5 seconds after rotation, engine lost substantial power. Made decision to land on remaining runway and cut power. Glided plane to runway. At flare ht noticed gear up. Made successful gear up landing. Contributing factor: heat of the moment, decision to land, forgot gear.
