Narrative:
I was returning to my home base (davis airport-W50) from a stop at nearby clearview airport-zwz. The route of flight was direct and penetrated the baltimore-washington ADIZ. Prior to departing from clearview, I filed an ADIZ VFR flight plan. Once in the air, but prior to entering the ADIZ, I contacted potomac approach and was assigned a squawk code which I inserted into my transponder. The flight duration was approximately 15 mins. Once back at davis I received a call from homeland security who xferred me to potomac TRACON. I was told that I penetrated the ADIZ and was not transmitting the proper squawk code. I answered the potomac TRACON's questions and was informed that the incident would be investigated and I would be contacted in 2-3 weeks.
