Narrative:

Bdr ground cleared us to taxi to and hold short of runway 29 at taxiway D. We did so and called the tower ready for departure. Tower cleared us to back taxi full length then cleared us for takeoff. From our location, runway 29 would have been a 1/2 left turn, but we inadvertently made a full left turn onto runway 24. We back-taxied, then prepared for takeoff. No runway numbers were visible because we were on the displaced threshold. As the captain applied power for takeoff, I noticed a 'runway 24' sign. I questioned him which runway we were cleared onto, and he stopped the takeoff (low speed). We queried the tower and he told us to taxi back onto runway 29. Not sure if he saw our original error, but he did not seem concerned. No traffic conflicts were noted. We departed uneventfully on runway 29. At bdr, none of the txwys go all the way to the end of the runway. This is a little unusual. Other factors: both pilots had been to bdr but not often. Neither had departed from this runway. Had been on duty 10 hours, so fatigue was probably starting to show.

Title: DURING A NIGHT OP A CE560 FLT CREW ABORTS TKOF AT LOW SPD WHEN REALIZING THEY WERE ON THE WRONG RWY, RWY 24 VERSUS RWY 29 AT BDR, CT.

Narrative: BDR GND CLRED US TO TAXI TO AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 29 AT TXWY D. WE DID SO AND CALLED THE TWR READY FOR DEP. TWR CLRED US TO BACK TAXI FULL LENGTH THEN CLRED US FOR TKOF. FROM OUR LOCATION, RWY 29 WOULD HAVE BEEN A 1/2 L TURN, BUT WE INADVERTENTLY MADE A FULL L TURN ONTO RWY 24. WE BACK-TAXIED, THEN PREPARED FOR TKOF. NO RWY NUMBERS WERE VISIBLE BECAUSE WE WERE ON THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD. AS THE CAPT APPLIED PWR FOR TKOF, I NOTICED A 'RWY 24' SIGN. I QUESTIONED HIM WHICH RWY WE WERE CLRED ONTO, AND HE STOPPED THE TKOF (LOW SPD). WE QUERIED THE TWR AND HE TOLD US TO TAXI BACK ONTO RWY 29. NOT SURE IF HE SAW OUR ORIGINAL ERROR, BUT HE DID NOT SEEM CONCERNED. NO TFC CONFLICTS WERE NOTED. WE DEPARTED UNEVENTFULLY ON RWY 29. AT BDR, NONE OF THE TXWYS GO ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF THE RWY. THIS IS A LITTLE UNUSUAL. OTHER FACTORS: BOTH PLTS HAD BEEN TO BDR BUT NOT OFTEN. NEITHER HAD DEPARTED FROM THIS RWY. HAD BEEN ON DUTY 10 HRS, SO FATIGUE WAS PROBABLY STARTING TO SHOW.
