Narrative:
Found that parts were being stripped, plated not in accordance with the process standards manual. I discovered the problem when I was xferred into the department and was receiving training. The parts in question are airworthiness-directive related. The paperwork involved are shop work orders. No corrective action has taken place yet. Quality assurance has been notified and are investigating.

Title: A PLATING SHOP TECHNICIAN RPTS THAT JT8D-219 ENG PARTS ARE NOT BEING STRIPPED AND PLATED PER THE PROCESS STANDARDS MANUAL. PARTS ARE AIRWORTHINESS-DIRECTIVE RELATED.
Narrative: FOUND THAT PARTS WERE BEING STRIPPED, PLATED NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROCESS STANDARDS MANUAL. I DISCOVERED THE PROB WHEN I WAS XFERRED INTO THE DEPT AND WAS RECEIVING TRAINING. THE PARTS IN QUESTION ARE AIRWORTHINESS-DIRECTIVE RELATED. THE PAPERWORK INVOLVED ARE SHOP WORK ORDERS. NO CORRECTIVE ACTION HAS TAKEN PLACE YET. QUALITY ASSURANCE HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND ARE INVESTIGATING.
