Narrative:
Flying a part 91 flight. I asked company maintenance if the aircraft was airworthy and received an affirmative answer. I flew the aircraft from vny to teb safe and uneventfully. Days later, I was informed company maintenance wrote a grounding report, not issuing a return to airworthiness as they had indicated before departure.
