Narrative:
Departing teb on teb 5 SID runway 24. Climb from 1500 ft to 2000 ft started too early. Runway heading to 1500 ft MSL, right turn to 280 degrees. PF started climb prior to 4.5 teb DME. I am the PIC and I did not quiz the PF on the entire SID. I simply asked if he understood the SID. He said yes, and I took his word for it.
