Narrative:
We were instructed to hold short of taxiway north via taxiway B. While initially holding short of taxiway north, we awaited a B747 to pass by, at the same time an aircraft had just gone around due to a windshear and the airfield was in the process of a runway change due to a frontal passage. This led to a distraction in the cockpit resulting in us passing by taxiway north by a short distance. We informed ATC where we were and he said he did not remember giving us clearance past taxiway north. He asked us to transition onto taxiway a to runway 13L. We complied with his instructions and he had us contact tower. Supplemental information from acn 617073: during taxi to runway 31L at jfk, ground told us to taxi left taxiway B, hold short at taxiway north. We taxied out and a front was visibly encroaching the airport. Visibility was deteriorating. After his passage, no other aircraft was in sight on the entire south half of jfk airport at early am. The conversation was focused on making a maximum power takeoff and if we had the data to review for the runway change and I noticed we slowly crept past taxiway north. We asked ground if we should continue and he replied, 'I don't remember giving you clearance to pass taxiway north.' I acknowledged our error. Constant vigilance is necessary regardless of the hour and regardless if the airport appears to be a ghost town.

Title: TXWY INCURSION BY AN A300 FLT CREW DURING AN ANTICIPATED RWY CHANGE DUE TO WX FACTORS AT JFK, NY.
Narrative: WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY N VIA TXWY B. WHILE INITIALLY HOLDING SHORT OF TXWY N, WE AWAITED A B747 TO PASS BY, AT THE SAME TIME AN ACFT HAD JUST GONE AROUND DUE TO A WINDSHEAR AND THE AIRFIELD WAS IN THE PROCESS OF A RWY CHANGE DUE TO A FRONTAL PASSAGE. THIS LED TO A DISTR IN THE COCKPIT RESULTING IN US PASSING BY TXWY N BY A SHORT DISTANCE. WE INFORMED ATC WHERE WE WERE AND HE SAID HE DID NOT REMEMBER GIVING US CLRNC PAST TXWY N. HE ASKED US TO TRANSITION ONTO TXWY A TO RWY 13L. WE COMPLIED WITH HIS INSTRUCTIONS AND HE HAD US CONTACT TWR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 617073: DURING TAXI TO RWY 31L AT JFK, GND TOLD US TO TAXI L TXWY B, HOLD SHORT AT TXWY N. WE TAXIED OUT AND A FRONT WAS VISIBLY ENCROACHING THE ARPT. VISIBILITY WAS DETERIORATING. AFTER HIS PASSAGE, NO OTHER ACFT WAS IN SIGHT ON THE ENTIRE S HALF OF JFK ARPT AT EARLY AM. THE CONVERSATION WAS FOCUSED ON MAKING A MAX PWR TKOF AND IF WE HAD THE DATA TO REVIEW FOR THE RWY CHANGE AND I NOTICED WE SLOWLY CREPT PAST TXWY N. WE ASKED GND IF WE SHOULD CONTINUE AND HE REPLIED, 'I DON'T REMEMBER GIVING YOU CLRNC TO PASS TXWY N.' I ACKNOWLEDGED OUR ERROR. CONSTANT VIGILANCE IS NECESSARY REGARDLESS OF THE HR AND REGARDLESS IF THE ARPT APPEARS TO BE A GHOST TOWN.
