Narrative:
On departure procedure requires 'maintain 1500 ft until 4.5 DME from teb climb to 2000 ft.' we did as above, ATC called and asked why we climbed 'early' before 4.5 DME. We showed that we waited until the 4.5 DME. Unsure who was off?

Title: HS125 DEP FROM TEB IS ADVISED BY ATC THAT THEY INITIATED CLB EARLY.
Narrative: ON DEP PROC REQUIRES 'MAINTAIN 1500 FT UNTIL 4.5 DME FROM TEB CLB TO 2000 FT.' WE DID AS ABOVE, ATC CALLED AND ASKED WHY WE CLBED 'EARLY' BEFORE 4.5 DME. WE SHOWED THAT WE WAITED UNTIL THE 4.5 DME. UNSURE WHO WAS OFF?
