Narrative:
After takeoff, about 15 mins into the flight, the captain called to say an indicator light in the cockpit was showing that there was heat blowing in the tail cone. I turned on the aft stairs light and saw nothing and felt no heat from the exit door.

Title: MD80 RETURN LAND AFTER PIC ADVISES FLT ATTENDANTS THAT THERE WAS HIGH TEMP AIR FLOWING INTO THE ACFT'S TAIL CONE AREA ON A DEP FLT FROM DFW, TX.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF, ABOUT 15 MINS INTO THE FLT, THE CAPT CALLED TO SAY AN INDICATOR LIGHT IN THE COCKPIT WAS SHOWING THAT THERE WAS HEAT BLOWING IN THE TAIL CONE. I TURNED ON THE AFT STAIRS LIGHT AND SAW NOTHING AND FELT NO HEAT FROM THE EXIT DOOR.
