Narrative:
While level at cruise flight, I left my seat to go to the lavatory. When returning to the cockpit, I noticed the galley curtains were drawn and the flight attendant had the oven doors open and the ovens on because she was cold. After thinking about this, I questioned several other flight attendants about this practice and found out that this is done often. I doubt the engineers had this use in mind when designing the ovens and thought it should be reported. Also, if this is being done at this airline, I would guess that it is done at others and should probably be brought to in-flight's attention.
