Narrative:
Advised captain on taxi out that radar vectors to the 246 degree radial were stated on pre departure clearance. Captain stated that the pre departure clearance had a changed routing for the en route segment. He wanted to turn left after departure and intercept the radial and said that the notes had changed and do not apply since there was a change in the routing to the pre departure clearance. I did as the captain wanted and turned to intercept the radial and was notified by departure that we should not have done that. They gave us a heading to 330 degrees to intercept that radial. After reading the pre departure clearance and discussing it further with one another we concurred that appropriate action was indeed to receive radar vectors from ATC to intercept the radial. No traffic conflict occurred. No other deviation occurred other than that from radar vectors from the pre departure clearance.

Title: FLT CREW DISAGREEMENT OVER UNRESOLVED CONFUSION ABOUT PDC CLRNC RESULTS IN A FLT PATH DEV.
Narrative: ADVISED CAPT ON TAXI OUT THAT RADAR VECTORS TO THE 246 DEG RADIAL WERE STATED ON PDC. CAPT STATED THAT THE PDC HAD A CHANGED ROUTING FOR THE ENRTE SEGMENT. HE WANTED TO TURN L AFTER DEP AND INTERCEPT THE RADIAL AND SAID THAT THE NOTES HAD CHANGED AND DO NOT APPLY SINCE THERE WAS A CHANGE IN THE ROUTING TO THE PDC. I DID AS THE CAPT WANTED AND TURNED TO INTERCEPT THE RADIAL AND WAS NOTIFIED BY DEP THAT WE SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THAT. THEY GAVE US A HDG TO 330 DEGS TO INTERCEPT THAT RADIAL. AFTER READING THE PDC AND DISCUSSING IT FURTHER WITH ONE ANOTHER WE CONCURRED THAT APPROPRIATE ACTION WAS INDEED TO RECEIVE RADAR VECTORS FROM ATC TO INTERCEPT THE RADIAL. NO TFC CONFLICT OCCURRED. NO OTHER DEV OCCURRED OTHER THAN THAT FROM RADAR VECTORS FROM THE PDC.
